President's Message

Our chapter provides us with three important reasons to stay connected to the organization; education, networking, and resources.   As a member of SGMP since 2004, I am thankful to be networking and in the company of other planners and suppliers. SGMP has impacted me personally and professionally. Here are a few important reasons that help me to stay connected and tuned in to SGMP:

  • Delivery of core education courses presented at monthly chapter meetings and conferences,
  • Leadership and networking opportunities,
  • Important government resources and communications; and,
  • Strong and lasting relationship connections with a phenomenal group of professional planners and suppliers

During difficult times we learn to depend on each other in this industry. I want to encourage you to connect with a board member and/or a buddy to help the chapter to obtain the following goals in 2015 and beyond!

  • Retain the members we have
  • Get connected to government meetings:  "Stay Plug Into SGMP"
  • Increase chapter revenue through fundraising activities and sponsorships
  • Volunteer to serve on a committee and help with a small task to lead
  • Encourage membership presence at the monthly education meetings

”I am a member of a team, and I rely on the team, I defer to it and sacrifice for it, because the team, not the individual, is the ultimate champion.”
